PadMapper makes apartment hunting less awful, almost fun. It does this by plotting the apartments on a big map, and letting you filter for exactly what you want. There are also neat overlays to help you learn about the different areas.
My goal with PadMapper is to make apartment hunting into something people no longer dread. It shouldn't have to be harder than buying a car. You shouldn't have to deal with slimy people. You shouldn't have to make big Excel spreadsheets to keep track of what you've seen and what you think. Landlords should respond to your emails, and once you move in, you should be treated well. I'm going to help make it that way.
Learn about the history of a home through news headlines and members' stories. Find stigmatized properties in your area. Search for houses, townhouses, apartments and condos located all over the world.
Let others know about homes that are in the headlines. Share stories of houses and apartments you've lived in or have heard about. Contribute to our growing database -- add places, comment on member stories, claim or disclaim user submissions, submit photos and more!
Far from being a harmless activity, residential marijuana grow operations create significant safety and health hazards for the entire community, even after they’re dismantled.
Following a four-month consultation with stakeholders and the public, the Alberta government has accepted 37 recommendations that outline actions to address the health, safety and remediation challenges residential grow ops pose to current inhabitants, future homebuyers and the community as a whole.
The issues around grow operations are complex. Government can move quickly on a number of the recommendations, while others will take more preparation and work with stakeholders before they can be implemented.
With the acceptance of the Grow Op Free Alberta Final Recommendations Report, Alberta is leading the way among other provinces to create a more coordinated approach to deal with the issues related to residential grow operations.

Zoocasa.com has partnered with property valuation company Centract Settlement Services, to offer local market information available to anyone, anywhere, with a web connection. The website has dubbed the service as Zoopraisal, which says it offers an estimated market value for a home. The website said the price estimation it offers is a starting point to determine value, but it also encouraged buyers, sellers, and homeowners to supplement the estimate by contacting a real estate professional as well. The model is similar to that already offered by American counterpart Zillow.com
